We’ve uploaded a new version of N v2.0 both online and for download, fixing a few of the major bugs — we’re still working on tracking down more. We’ll keep you posted!

  • I am so happy to have discovered the V2.0 to download just today after YEARs of waiting.
    However there is a bug in the metanet levels. First levels are NOT unlocked once I complete an episode, what gives ??
    Second, when I go to the metanet levels menu, I just get a searching message followed by a blank page. (users levels seem to work fine …)

  • After downloading the new version, I played a level set that I hadn’t yet beaten and my progress was not saved. I wasn’t able to play the next set, nor did the levels show up in the single-level mode.

  • I downloaded this new version, but still not unlocking the next episode when i complete an episode

  • Oh btw, thanks a lot for the fix M&R, can we know which things were fixed, like, a changelog maybe?

  • @EddyMataGallos: I thought of that; after my progress wasn’t updated, I checked and I was logged in.

  • Logging out and logging back in doesn’t allow progress to be saved either.

  • Yeah, my data isn’t being saved either 🙁

  • Not sure if somebody else mentioned this yet so I thought I would post: The launchpad sprite has no border in certain locations/directions. Here is a screenshot of a little testing I did:

  • Do I need to back up my .sol before using? I just beat the game, and REALLY do not want to go through it again just to start high scoring at my leisure.

  • Nah don’t worry, remember no progress is stored on the .sol now, just the account settings and something else. Everything is server-sided.

  • Hi M&R – I occasionally get an error when completing some user levels.

    It seems to be map specific; for example every time I complete this map.

  • PLEASE ADD FULLSCREEN MODE WITH PROPER SCALING!!! The “Zoom” goes too far, and Fullscreen by itself just gets rid of start bar.

  • Abe, right click–>Show everything (the option under the 100% option, not sure how its traslated in english version).

  • Two comments.

    Where is boss mode?

    The current setup of the time-bar makes it difficult to highscore. After completing a level (or dying), the time/score disappears from the screen. So for those runs where I’m just a little bit slower than the highscore or my highscore, I cannot tell exactly how much slower I am. It makes runs much harder to tweak or change if I can’t judge how much faster or slower a particular variation is.
    Even better would be an implementation of the nreality feature of giving a frame count.

  • I love that escape has the dual function of exiting full screen mode and quitting the game. Because whenever I leave full screen mode I want to lose all the progress I’ve made in the last 20 freaking minutes and start from scratch.

    Also, why Z and not Shift? Bring back Shift please!

  • This update fixed my frame rate issues. I kind of wish I had waited to beat the game until now. Oh well, at least now I can high score. Thanks M&R, we all appreciate the work you’ve put into this.

    A moodbreaker though:

    The linux standalone swf does not work with Chrome’s PepperFlash.

  • silas, you can configure that on the settings menu.

  • Can N++ be available for PC/Mac/Linux purchase this time too? N+ was sadly only available for Xbox, PC or DS

  • Whenever i clear my browser history & cache of mozilla, all the N levels i cleared, disappears. I am back to the scratch level. Is there a way to store the completed and unlocked levels somewhere, so that even cleaning the system and browser has no effect of my N progress.

  • SANTAN try backuping your .sol file and replacing it everytime you clear your setting or pass CCleaner.
    On WinXP, its located here:

  • Hi, do you know where the .sol file is on Windows 8 so I can save it? I cant find it anywhere and every time I delete my browsing history and temporary internet files it wipes my Nv2 progress. Frustrating!! Brilliant game though bros and bro-esses :^)

  • I tried testing a level in Ned and this happened:

    An ActionScript error has occurred:

    RangeError: Error #1125: The index 0 is out of range 0.

    If I press “Dismiss All” all moving objects disappear.

    Any suggestions?

  • @DJ_Moore: this is a known bug which is at the top of our programmer’s priority list! It should be fixed soon (he’s at TOJam this weekend so he’s busy) as soon as he has a spare day. Thanks for letting us know!

  • Hi, has there been any update on this Error#1125 that’s been hanging around forever. If any reminding needs doing it happens when you try to test a user designed level in the editor by pressing tab. An error comes up saying:

    RangeError: Error #1125: The index 0 is out of range 0.

    I’m running Nv2-PC on Vista home premium 6.0, I have directX 11. It seems a lot of people are having this problem, any solution?

  • @Arcturus: the person who’s supposed to fix that bug has been swamped with other projects for the past few months — we can’t figure out how to reproduce it (it doesn’t happen on our machines), but it’s at the top of our list and will be fixed in the future.

    Does this happen in both the embedded-in-browser version and the stand-alone?

  • when trying to make a level i am unable to test the level to see if it is going to work the way i want it to. Getting error message below:

  • Thanks for reporting this — we’re aware of it and it’s at the very top of the programmer’s todo list, however unfortunately they’re in the middle of shipping their first solo title (Fate Tectonics) and haven’t had time to fix it yet (and we’re crazy busy with N++)

    Rest assured it will be fixed as soon as possible! Sorry about this :/

  • Just some potentially useful info on the action script error that Arcturus’s talking about; upgraded graphics card and RAM hasn’t helped it.
