July 28th, 2015: N++ Day!
You can get it right now, and you totally should: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/n/cid=UP2108-CUSA00041_00-NPPGAMENPPGAMENP
YES! We’re so excited. It’s been a really long road, longer than we expected and longer than we wanted, but you know what? We couldn’t be happier with how the game came out, and we think you’ll be able to see that extra effort and abundance of love that went into it.
It’s awesome. We made tons of improvements since the Beta, including optimizing the size of the save file! It’s at the cost of attract mode / main menu replays, but we think people will appreciate the smaller footprint more than a few hundred replays.
We tweaked levels, we tweaked colours, we put the finishing touches on the animations and got the server running beautifully. The entire team worked our collective fingers to the bone, and play-tested until we couldn’t see from exhaustion. We put everything we have into this game and yet, there are still plenty of things we didn’t get to finish for launch — so expect those to roll out over the next few months!
Check out this amazing launch trailer we made:
https://vimeo.com/134740530
ARGHH it’s so punchy and beautiful!
Here are some quick stats:
-2360 unique, handcrafted levels (it would take at least 30 hours to speedrun this game)
-52 colour schemes
-over 6 hours of music by over 40 musicians
Features:
-Solo, Co-op and Competitive Multiplayer (Race)
-built-in level editor with online global level-sharing
-highscores with replays for every level, including all player-made levels
For those of you wondering about the price, it is $19.99 to start, and that gets you the game and a “lifetime pass” to all future DLC. We’re planning a huge update that will actually raise the price, and are not planning on putting it on sale much, so if you want this game cheap, don’t wait. Strike while the iron is hot! Or lower cost, anyway.
If it sells well enough on PS4, we hope to be able to afford to port it. We cannot guarantee this will happen, and we don’t know what platform it will come to first if it comes to any. Steam is likelier than most, but again, we have to see how things go. So if you want to see this game anywhere else, please do us a solid and spread the word! We are a tiny team with a tinier budget, and we need all the help we can get.
But it’ll be worth it! The more hands we can get N++ into, the happier the world will be as everyone enjoys smooth, glorious colour and acrobatic ninja action.
So go get the game everyone, and thanks in advance — there’s a special thank you on the credits page to all you N and N+ fans who have enjoyed our work over the years. Here’s to you.
ps. you might be also interested in some limited-edition N++ shirts:

I hope to see this one day on X1 or PC maybe. Loved the N and N+.
Congrats again to your team. I appreciate all the hard work you all put into this game. I pre ordered and will be playing with my wife and niece and nephews later as we all love us a little N++. I hope this sells really well others who don’t have a PS4 can enjoy it as much as we will. Again, thanks for the game and looking forward to any extra content you release. 🙂
I’m really excited for this game but I don’t own a PS4. I enjoyed N+ on Xbox 360 for dozens of hours. I really hope this game will come to Steam, that’s my only way to play it since I don’t own any new generation consoles and I don’t plan to buying one.
Thanks everyone! We hope to bring it to other platforms, however this depends on a lot of factors (can we afford to port based on PS4 sales, do the other platforms want it, etc).
We’re hopefully that it will sell well and we’ll be able to bring it to everyone 🙂
I was wondering, is co-op only 2 players or does it go up to 4 players? Oh, and congrats on the launch of N++!
The price is way too expensive!!
Have you ever seen games that are available on the store?
Pix The Cat (which fight in the same category with infinite levels, a unique challenge per level, couch and online multiplayer just to name a few) is half the price!!!
And don’t forget players like to have a gorgeous game, mainly on the ps4… they would even prefer a beautiful screen saver to a funny 3 colors game…
I also hope that N++ will be brought to Steam. I played N nearly every day growing up and felt extremely disappointed that I never got a chance to play N+. My fingers are crossed for a PC release!
@ben: co-op is up to 4 players, but designed for 2 (more just makes it easier.. or occasionally harder). Thank you! 🙂
@Carbon: no offense, but (a) our price is less than 1 cent per level, (b) our levels are better than what procgen can produce.. at least for this game design (IMO), (c) we think this game is pretty gorgeous itself 😉
Wait I didn’t know there wouldn’t be any online co-op. That’s kind of what kept me playing N+ for so long. Why the drop of that feature?
For those asking about online multiplayer, we went into a lot of detail in the comments on this post: http://www.metanetsoftware.com/2015/n-is-coming#comment-373611
Pix the cat is barely half the game. Have been playing n++ since the minute it came out and it is excellent. Really? Pix the cat? Buy the game Carbon. You will not regret it
hey M&R,
congratulations on the release. by the sounds of things it is really good :). I couldn’t get the game atm but will do soon and can’t wait.
P.S do you know if i buy the Australian dollar PlayStation gift card, will it work on my north American account. Is n++ available on the Australian PlayStation store.
thanks
@crazywizard13: I’m afraid we don’t know whether AUS gift cards work in the NA store. I think that Australia is SCEE (Sony Europe) which means the game should be available in the store now.
@M&R: just compare things that can be compared… like how many cents per color? or how many cents per shader? or even how many cents per mesh ? lol
For example the price is higher than Journey, Badland, Shovel knight, Rocket League, The Fall, The Escapist, to name a few…
Don’t get me wrong: I have nothing against your game which sounds to have been made with love, etc. it’s just the price that really bugs me ;(
(and it’s always the same math… sell some at a high price or thousands at a lower price… golden egg principle)
Can we not donate to raise funds for a PC port; release date tomorrow?
Seriously, this orgiastic display of distilled beauty cannot remain out of my grubby mitts for long. Must I join in this war of consoles?
After devoting hundreds of hours into N, buying a 360 specifically for N+, I fear the answer is yes.
Can’t I just give you the $400? No?
Hear I am, the phone is ringing, student loans are being deferred, new credit card in the mail, PS4 arriving…
I guess what I am saying is: I love you MetaNet Software. Thank you for the game. A toast to a few hundred more hours of gaming bliss.
@M&R: How did you come to the decision to leave out the ninja color choices? The game is great don’t get me wrong but I do honestly miss being able to choose a ninja with a spiked hair or different colors.
@Trey: The ninja changes colour with each colour scheme! 🙂 But don’t worry, we’re patching in some customization options — just don’t expect costumes 🙂
@Carbon: N++ is worth $20. That’s like a cheap meal out, or seeing a movie, but unlike a movie, it is so crammed full of stuff it’s absolutely going to deliver more than 2 hours of enjoyment. We’re sorry you don’t agree but you’re just wrong, IMO.
@William Fry: thanks so much, this really helps. We’re glad to hear you support us and can see what we’re trying to do, and like N++. For you and those like you, we really want to do a PC port. We’ll do our best.
Here
system requirements for PC
Windows XP, Vista,7, 8,10
Free disk space = 1 or 2 GB or more
And Cpu speed, Video Card, and more i dunno
P.S. Congratulations for release N++
P.S.S. Data release on PC June 2016 if we donate too much maybe Spring 2016
Great game and congratulations. Well worth the entry price point, so I hope more people support the game and devs. Would love to see a Vita version that would support cross play.
Fantastic game.
Thanks Davcio!
We hope it comes to Vita too 🙂
N++ is not worth 20$; it’s worth WAY more
I’d probably pay 60$ or 70$ for this
Mare and Raigan did an excellent job and I can see now why they’re so confident about this beast: because it’s, uh, no words to comment it, it’s just fucking awesome just buy it and play it
if you loved N or N+ then there’s literally NO EXCUSE
“but man, i have no ps4!”
lol, then do as me and other people did, get some spare money from the job and buy one only for this. trust me, it’s worth.
i love you metanet
and you love us too, that’s the best part <3
Congratulations on the launch! I bought it simply out of the debt I owe you for years of playing N (2.0 especially), but it’s quickly overtaken my love of those versions. The controls feel way better than n+ on x360 too.
For all those baulking at the price… don’t. The amount of content in this game is ridiculous (before you even get to player-created levels).
@van: thank you so much!! 🙂
@si jones: thanks! We definitely think N++ feels much better than N+, unfortunately a lot of reviewers have rose-coloured glasses and think it’s exactly the same… alas.
Everything in this game is AWESOME!!!
I LOVE you metanet!
What a great game (and soundtrack)!
I’ve played the original flash game years ago. It was big fun but now you have nailed it. It’s perfect.
Thank you for putting so much effort into n++. And it’s so worth the money. Hope sales are doing well.
Oh man I found the game on digital only :). I tried searching it up before but it’s in digital only. Thanks 🙂
Thanks everyone! We’re *so* glad you like it!! 😀
IT’S OUT! YAY! INSTAB…. oh, ye, I forgot… PS4 only 🙁
I don’t have a PS4 :/ I very hope that this project will success… cuz I very want to play it on Steam ;-;
Grats yet again on the release 🙂
I enjoy the game a lot, and 20 is a bargain, I honestly expected around 35-40. But it a great, with all the other games coming this fall. I always end up listening to other sources of music tho, I’m a rock dude and the electronic stuff makes me crazy in the long run. But the games works just great to that music too
Again grats on the release. So now this is the Last N, are you planning on staying Game creators or are you going to do something entirely different?
Congratulations!
I was/am a huge fan of the original N. I don’t think there’s a better game for a quick distraction between whatever else you’re doing on your computer. I really hope to see a Steam version; I know I’ll be among the first to buy it!
Question, never played before but was wondering what am I doing wrong? Do we keep replaying the basics before moving on to next level? Solo intro A_00 over and over, is this correct? How many times til it goes to A-01?
thanks so much everyone, we really appreciate it 🙂
@nimoke: assuming N++ sells well enough to keep us in business, we have lots of other ideas we can’t wait to start playing around with — we’re excited to get started 🙂
@tina: you can move the cursor around the episode screen to any unlocked episode — so to start, all of the A series is unlocked, and when you beat any of them, the B series episode below gets unlocked. We wanted you to be able to choose your path through the game, adjusting for difficulty based on your personal preference.
The difficulty progression is higher moving down a column, and easier moving across a row. So as you play, if you get stuck, you have lots of options to move around the grid.
Also you can press R1 to switch tabs and try the N++ levels if the Intro series is too easy for you!
Sorry about that, I finally figured out what I did wrong, anyway excited to show my thirteen year old, I love that I do not have to worry about language and it reminds me of the physics games he plays online. Happy mommy!! Having fun!!!
M&R!
I have been playing N since 2007 when v1.4 was still a thing online. I joined the forums shortly after and became part of a thriving and fantastic community of people on the forums and NUMA. I have met amazing individuals from all over the world and have even become great friends with people I would have never known existed were it not for your game that brought us all together.
The release of N++ reminds me of the first time I downloaded this silly little platformer and played through the levels on my computer. I am much more skilled at the game now than I was before but the varied enemies and the huge number of new levels makes the game as challenging now as it was the first time.
Thank you for your work and dedication toward making this game the best it has ever been. Through N, the community online has had a positive impact on my life and I just wanted to share my gratitude.
Cheers,
origami_alligator
@tina: awesome, thank you for your kind words. Happy developers 🙂
@origami_alligator: thanks so much! It has sometimes been hard to keep going over the years, we’ve doubted ourselves a lot, but in the end what has always kept us going is the fans — the fact that people are playing and enjoying something we created has meant everything to us. Thank you for playing 🙂
Save files are corrupting N++ and deleting all the progress! Also, level editor has a huge bug to some users. We need a major update fix!

I also heard the save file bug from different people somewhere else. Thanks in advance.
(btw, I’m zoasBE from NUMA/Nv1.4, I have no much words, just I want to say that I just bought a ps4 just for n++! You rocks and thanks!)
hey M&R,
is the trophy “Achieve Enlightenment – Explore the Options menu” bugged? Noone seems to have gotten it so far, but its listed as bronze.
@zoasBE: We’re so glad you’re enjoying N++: we made it with fans of 1.4 firmly in mind! 🙂
Yup, don’t worry, we are aware of all of these, and Shawn is currently working on fixing them. Please note though, we’re all pretty drained from a very huge milestone (N++ launch!), so it would be great if you could be respectful of that — and of the time it takes to get things done: bugfixes do take longer on console because of the patch process. We’re moving as fast as we can, but we do need you to appreciate that fixes will not be immediate.
Email [email protected] with details about when the save bug happens — it’s very rare, and seems to happen to the same people much more often. It’s also difficult to reproduce — a list of steps to reproduce would be the most useful, that will help us fix it most easily.
Thanks for the links — we do know about the forums, and check them occasionally, and it’s great to have that info all in one place. so please keep posting there with issues rather than here, and we’ll keep checking in! thanks again 🙂
Hi there,
first of all thank you very much for this great game!
I’ve spend too much time already and still can’t stop.
Reason for this post is, that I encountered some little bugs and
want to make little suggestions for an even better game experience 😉
Some minor inconsistencies/bugs:
— mark7track my favourite episodes/level does not work for me, I was able to do it with one level, nothing else
shows up via browse-solo …!? Maybe I’m doing it wrong!?
— progress screen: in race I completed all level incl. X, now the progress screen shows a sort of crossed out overview in race mode (diagonal line from top left to bottom right) …
My percentage (numberwang set to 1) is 0.2xxx after having completed all race level, all intro-level, and a few other rows ^^
— If I watch replays from friends the time shown at the end of a episode is for level0-3 000 and for level 4 correct, even though the leaderboard-times are correct from what I see
— minor thing in race N++ E08-04: you can get trapped, when “you suck mode” has eliminated all enemies and you are in the upper “cage”. And since there is no retry option after level 0 in race episodes you have to restart whole episode.
A few suggestions:
— option to check/uncheck audio tracks, favourite-list
— save colour settings, don’t reset it every gamestart, also option to check/uncheck colours, favourite-list
— sound cue when timer reaches a certain limit (10 sec maybe)
— sound cue when all the last gold is collected in a level
— retry not “X” Button to prevent exiting a level accidently
— really cool would be if there is a message or some sort, whenever you beat your own record(s) including the difference shown to former record
bye

http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/solointroleadqfs4holra7.jpg
@zoetl: thanks for this detailed feedback! I’ll try to respond per item:
-tracking levels: this should work, however we’ve never really tested it beyond tracking a few levels so it’s possible that there’s a bug.. when you hold R2 and press Circle does it show “tracked” in the R2 panel? (or a “xx” on the level thumbnail?)
-progress screen: this sounds like a bug, added to our list
-% complete: sadly not a bug.. even if you beat all the levels in all modes with all gold, it won’t quite be enough, because there are some additional challenges (that I don’t want to spoil) 😉
-replays: currently if you use L1/R1 to skip around replays, it messes up the displayed time. We’ve added this to the bug list, but: I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening here, please let me know if you weren’t skipping around with L1/R1 and it just doesn’t work — that might be a new bug.
-Race mode: hm.. was this with multiple people? It shouldn’t be possible to get everyone trapped (which means someone can reach the exit, killing everyone else and moving the game forward) but let me know if this happened anyway (if it happened because you were only playing 1-player, we really intended race to be 2-4p but let you play 1p just for practice)
Suggestions:
-this already exists — hold L2+R2 and then press Square to mute/unmute songs from the playlist 😉 (sorry, we were in a hurry and forgot to add some button prompts telling you what does what; also, pressing X will start playing the currently selected track in that menu)
-I think we decided to start you on a random colour each time to encourage people to try something different.. maybe we need an option that remembers your previously-used colour? (we do intend to add mute/unmute to colours list just like music, but it’s not in yet)
-sound cues: we didn’t have much time to iterate on the sounds and as a result are missing some cues — these are good ideas!
-we’re working on showing the personal best in addition to your rank
Thanks! (note: in the future, you can email us metanet @ metanetsoftware dotcom 🙂 )
Hi. The game is awesome and I’m having tons of fun with it. I was wondering whether it would be be possible to implement some leaderboard related features that were in n+. Mainly I’d like the ability to scroll through leaderboards past the top 20, as well as to see how many total people are on each leaderboard. I think it would make it a lot easier to gauge how good your rank is if you knew how many people you were competing against. Also, n+ had a way to view replays from within a level when paused, which was useful because it allowed you to check a top player’s strategy while in the middle of a speedrun. A couple of less notable related things that I think would be cool would be a global leaderboard across all levels and the ability to view someone’s psn profile from their rank. Please comment on whether any of this stuff might make it into a later patch. And thanks for making a great game!
@qerty: thanks for the ideas!
I’m afraid scrolling will probably not happen, however: if you press L1/R1 while in the highscores, you can switch tabs — the middle tab shows scores around your score, which might be a bit useful? (When we were planning this we tried to think of a use case where you’d actually need/want to scroll arbitrarily through the scores but we couldn’t really see what that was useful for, so please let us know what we missed!)
The idea of showing the total number of scores (or some other indicator of your relative score, eg “90th percentile”) is good, we’ll see if we can fit it into the UI. Even just showing “Global Rank: 853 / 9812” might be a good solution.
Sadly I don’t think we can add “view replay while in-game” since we would have to rewrite all of the existing UI code. Also, we sort of think copying other peoples’ runs is cheating so we don’t want to encourage that ;p
Global leaderboard for total score is something we’re planning on adding, we just didn’t have time to add all the required UI to the Profile page (UI has been a giant time-sink on this project, it takes *forever*)
PSN Profile from rank (i.e when their score is selected in the highscore panel) is an interesting idea. We’re sort of out of buttons in the menus though, but maybe we can figure out somewhere to put it..
Thank you! And thanks for playing 🙂
Been playing this game almost non stop since i got it. Thank you for this.
I am hoping, and sort of begging for a vita port too. Game would be perfect for the Vita. Is it a possibility?
@Jimmy: thanks! glad you’re enjoying it 🙂 Your question has been answered in the post, at the top of the page.
Congratulations on finally finishing this long undertaking! As someone who has played N off and on since way back when there were only 30 episodes, I can honestly say I’ve loved every minute of it. I thought the 100 episodes were an amazing addition and didn’t think the game was going to expand much past that.
I’m glad you didn’t stop there, though, and that you put in all the dedication and time to make this game truly great over the years, from the level expansions to version 2.0 to co-op multiplayer on consoles. The community has also been great and you have done a great job of interacting with the community, which is amazing. Congratulations again and I bet it must be a relief to finally say that you’ve arrived at the last version and won’t be making any more full sequels! Thanks for all you’ve done and I wish you the best success in your future endeavors–you truly deserve it.
If you port this to Steam I will buy the game for all my friends!!!! If you don’t have the funds please try to do a kickstarter to port it I know we could raise you enough money for development!!!
🙂
Finally finish all N++ episodes! (except X ones)
FANTASTIC GAME!!!
Will be DLCs in future?
Congrats on the release! The game really looks fantastic!
I won’t be able to buy it, but I’ll sure recommend the heck out of your work.
Hope to be able to play it on pc someday! 😀
@M&R
I experienced to get trapped in an race episode too. Cant remember which one tho. We were 2 people playing, and we both went for a door opener (there were 2 exits), but we both missed, and ended up hitting a switch which locked us in with the (still closed) exit. We had to start the entire episode over (and i was in front with like 150 seconds! haha)
This is good video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37vO2eXMEMk
P.S. this video not maded by me
Please fix this bug my save files are corrupting and this keeps happening to me because of editor this deletes all my progress through the game and all my color schemes and I hate when it happens it happened 4 times to me although I love the game but I hate this bug
please fix this bug my files are corrupting and i have to reset everything on n++ and it happened to me 4 times to me ;(
First off, this game is great and I have spent many hours playing it. I have one question about race though. Is there any way to put in an episode option on community levels? It would be cool if you could select five levels then begin a race instead of only racing one at a time. Thanks
Found a little bug I think (but nothing serious).
I had completed all Legacy Races until E-03.
I went to check my profile and it showed 6 dark grey rows except for the last box.
When I finished X-00 every box is dark grey, although I did not finish the final 4 episodes yet.
I did not check how it looked before I finished E-03 unfortunately.
Also:
Love your game!
I am really happy that you guys did it 😀 yay N rules!!!
but i dont have a console 🙁 will N+ or N++ be avaible on PC in the future (Steam)? i would really love to see this and i would definitely buy it! (sorry for my bad english im german)
Same happens with the N++ X races. When you finish the final E-race, only the final box in N++ X-races in my profile is marked as not done. I guess when I finish the first X-race it will be all marked as done as well.
Also, there is an ugly line through the boxes and not all Legacy Race boxes are shown any more.
I have tested it in multiple colors and it stays the same.
Finally beat all N++ & Legacy levels!!!
One of the best platformer games of all time!
Can you give us a hint about “Achieve Enlightenment” trophy? 😀
My guess is you need to unlock all the options to get that one.
I am not sure how to unlock them except for playing a lot of episodes.
I am nowhere near beating everything however and have only unlocked 2 of the extra options, so I am not sure.
Why no more funny win poses in N++? Like in N and N+
Just wanted to say what a blast I’m having with this game!! Loving having so many coop missions – we blasted through the first game’s pretty quickly.
Having an issue where the ‘players around me’ fail to load, though the top 20 loads (inc. on levels when I make it on) – pretty minor issue though.
Anyway – fantastic work – so many of the levels are mini-masterpieces – and the game looks and sounds fantastic
Top work and well done 🙂
Thanks everyone! Sorry, we have been really swamped with post-launch emergencies.. Thank you for your kind words 🙂
@wizard_amul: thank you so much!! We really like interacting with the community, it helps inspire us to work harder 🙂 We are definitely looking forward to being finished, because we think we did a good job and will be able to focus on new projects.. however, it will be another year or more before we’re actually done N++! Anyway, cheers 🙂
@Tim Lempicki: thank you! We may have to do this 🙂 We are determined to bring it to other platforms but it might take a while.. it’s sadly a lot of work :/
@ABH: thank you 🙂 We definitely have more game to release, but it will take a while to eg polish all the levels to make sure they’re at least as good as what launched. Plus (plus), we really have to finish fixing bugs before we can get started. But yes, some sort of DLC/updates which add stuff will happen eventually. 🙂
@Guistac: thank you!! We hope we can put it on PC too. We really want to! But it’s expensive/takes a lot of time.. we’re trying to figure out how to make it work right now. I’m optimistic 🙂
@Nimoke: thank you.. this is an unintended behaviour!! sorry about that, I’ve added it to the bug list
@Pootis12: ha! I forgot about that.. it was a while ago. Really cool, we agree 🙂
@Blah,
@xnxs:
AH!! I’m so sorry. We are working to fix this, but it’s very tricky because we still can’t make it happen on purpose!! (also, our programmer is having health problems) It is our #1 priority and it will be fixed. Until then, I’m really sorry.. you may have to avoid the “create” option (or whatever is triggering this behaviour — I know, this is no fun.. create is great) and/or backup to USB (and keep the old copies, because the current one may be corrupt.. sigh!! 🙁 I’m sorry, this is horrible)
@Josh: thank you! We have always intended for there to be user-made episodes, but it’s something we haven’t had time to get working yet. We think they’ll be great for all the game modes 🙂
@MrMette: thanks. These kind comments really mean a lot to us 🙂 The bug reports, we appreciate as well — thank you! I’ve logged this problem, there are some other bugs in Profile which we will also fix, hopefully in a matter of weeks.
@Aydin Kuyucu: thank you 🙂 We hope it will be on Steam, we’re trying to figure out how we can make that happen.
@Aria: awesome! Thanks so much 🙂 I’m really sorry, but the Enlightenment trophy may be buggy.. we’re not sure yet! Currently all our programming resources are diverted to fixing the save corruption bug, but the Platinum is our next-most-important priority. We’ll announce something as soon as we know, sorry about this. Thanks for asking! I wish I had something cool to tell you :/
@Pootis12: this is something else that we didn’t have time to finish before the game launched. We have some ideas we want to try with them first 😉
@mightylest: Thank you so much!! We’re really happy people are enjoying it as much as we had hoped 🙂 Also, thanks for reporting that bug; there are definitely a few problems in the highscores that we intend to fix… this is now one of them. 🙂
Please add antenna on chase drone cause too hard to distinguish
@pootis: we tried several antennas but none of them looked right; I think we’re going to try making the eye much bigger instead
What is mean corner-jump and chimney? And need tutorial and other skills
I love this game. Thanks for making the greatest platformer ever.
Also i’d buy a Vita for N++. Hint hint.
@YouCan’tScareMe: thank you!! 🙂
Sadly, we really don’t know if we can make Vita happen. :/
hello, do you know when the update is coming.
thanks.
Meeeeeen…. I just want know and im not spamming. Will be in future N++ in steam?? Or will be download link i know i know about little team of 3 peoples just know WILL BE IN PC?
Thanks for the reply. Hope things work out so that N++ can be released on as many platforms as possible so more people can experience it. The game deserves it.
@crazywizard13: we hope to have a news update before the end of the month; currently we’re dealing with a situation :/
@pootis: we are determined to bring N++ to Steam, but we don’t know how we’re going to do that yet (especially in light of recent developments we will fill you in on as soon as we can)
@YouCan’tScareMe: Thanks so much! We hope so too — I’m sure we can find a way 🙂
Steam version!!! I played this all the time as a kid and was so dissapointed that the latest N games never went too Steam.
is the corruption bug fixed yet?
@xnxs: not yet. We can reproduce it though, we’re just having some other problems which are delaying the patch.. hopefully we can talk about them soon. :/
@Rooslin: we’re definitely still trying to make Steam happen! Unfortunately we’ve hit a couple roadblocks, but we’re not giving up yet.
Who artist of this background? http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/images/psp_1.gif I mean those diagonally and vertically lines. This background i saw in paw patrol credits. Yup
@Pootis: we’re not sure — Silverbirch is the company that made that version of N+, but sadly they’re not around anymore! 🙁
Hello,
Running off the fantastic memories of N+ on 360, I bought N++ on release day. I enjoyed my beginning time with it (luckily SharePlay via PS4 remedied the omission of online co-op) but my interest in the game stalled as soon as all the issues with the game were presented.
I’m not unfamiliar with indie developers having issues with their product, but I am unfamiliar with the lack of update to the game. Helldivers was plagued by issues each time something new happened, but their development team rushed to fix it and now they have a robust game and a consumer that trusts them – I myself will look for the Arrowhead name and make sure to keep a close eye on games they offer.
I would hate for Metanet to turn into a company that I don’t trust, so I’m hoping you’ll be able to answer the following questions to assuage my concerns.
1. What are the exact requirements for “Achieve Enlightenment” – and what element of it is glitched. Is the feature that does not unlock in the options something that relates to a cut feature and it mistakenly not cut also? I know your intent was to keep this a mystery, but I feel now you should proffer your playerbase an explanation in lieu of a fix.
2. When will you fix the save corruption bug. I appreciate that you say your programmer is otherwise indisposed, but this is why you don’t position your organisation based upon key people. You must have a contingency, and if not, you must be thinking about one. I’m sure there are plenty of freelance coders that will happily fix the issues. I’ve seen the public perform wonders on games like Dark Souls post release after all.
3. You are pursuing a Steam release, which does not share the PS4’s SharePlay – presumably you need to make sure the online component is there, as I doubt your consumers will be as patient there. Especially considering refunds are in full effect, and the EU now stipulate consumers have 30 days to exercise their right for a refund if a digital product does not perform.
Will you retro fit the online to the PS4 version?
I thank you for review and reply
Will the ‘Achieve Enlightenment’ trophy be fixed in the upcoming patch?
@schredy: yes! Actually, it’s working as intended, but the requirements are a bit too extreme, even for us. We’re going to make it easier to unlock in the patch 🙂
@Toad: Thanks for your feedback!
1) Actually, this isn’t a bug. The requirements for Achieve Enlightenment are to beat every level in the game, and if you do that right now, you will get the platinum trophy.
However, as mentioned above, we’ve realized that this is maybe a bit too extreme (since it requires you to have a skilled friend to beat the co-op levels with), so we’re going to relax the requirements in the patch to let players get the platinum trophy without having to beat all the multiplayer levels.
2) We’ve fixed the bug, however it will take a few weeks for us to finish testing (since we don’t want to break everyone’s existing save file!) and for the patch to make its way through Sony’s pipeline of TRC checks etc.
While it’s nice to imagine that we could have hired a programmer, the reality is that the codebase is huge and complex (~300k lines of C++/OpenGL code, with heavy use of multithreading), so realistically anyone we hired would not have gotten up to speed before Shawn recovered.
Furthermore, experienced engineers who can handle the sort of code we’re dealing with are exceedingly rare; finding one which we can actually afford is an even bigger problem.
We’re also having some other team problems that I can’t discuss at the moment, and we are currently looking for additional programming help so that this isn’t a problem moving forward, but the reality is that every member of a 3-person team is a key person who can’t easily be replaced.
Arrowhead (the developers of Helldivers) have *25* employees. They are not operating in the same realm as we are, since their team size is 2-3x the number of people who made Doom! If one of them gets sick, there are others who can fill in with no ramp-up time. Our situation is much more like a band: if Dave Grohl is sick, the Foo Fighters concert for that night is unfortunately cancelled.
3) We’re still debating the online issue, however: N++ as it currently stands doesn’t have any online multiplayer. You can play it online via PS4’s streaming/shareplay features, but the game was designed for local play only.
I realize you feel entitled to online multiplayer, and we appreciate that this would be a great experience and would let a lot more people enjoy Co-op and Race modes, but unfortunately we don’t know yet if we can make it happen.
There are plenty of local multiplayer games that don’t have an online component on their Steam version (eg Towerfall), so we don’t fully understand what you mean.
Frankly, at the moment we don’t have the $50-100k required (i.e 5-10 months of engineering time) to throw at the problem — and if we did, it would go towards porting the game to PC/Mac/Linux so we could release it on Steam.
Given that we haven’t even made back *half* of what we spent developing the PS4 version of N++, our current focus is fixing the bugs and figuring out how to bring it to other platforms so that we can eventually, hopefully, break even.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience you’re experiencing, believe me — we are the people who care the most about getting these problems fixed as soon as possible, since we’re constantly losing money while people stay away from the game due to bugs. However, we can only do our best, with the resources we have at our disposal. And that’s what we’re doing.
Song name in N++ Release date reveal trailer?
P.s. i liked it
@Pootis12: thanks! It’s an unreleased song I (Raigan, this time) made a long time ago 🙂
It’s part of a bunch of unfinished music I uploaded a while ago, you can get it here: http://www.metanetsoftware.com/music/swanofnever_pastichiomeddling.zip
The one in the trailer is “riffer01c.mp3”
1) That’s reassuring, thank you. The last I heard you comment on this was your being unsure as to whether it was glitched or not.
I disagree regarding this being “too extreme”; as long as it works as intended I think you should stick to your vision for the trophy. You mention Towerfall in your post, and that bears accolades not dissimilar to yours. A Platinum to covet – I see the angle of wanting your players to have something to show that they’ve mastered every facet of your game (bar the insane secret stuff 😉 ).
2) I understand, certification is an arduous process – and again not a cheap endeavour.
I don’t understand what is so complicated between C++ and OpenGL, both being programming 101 and an industry standard respectively. I would have thought any complications in the code would be by the design of the programmer only.
I certainly wasn’t suggesting throwing more money for a freelancer, but rather throwing the net out for someone to work on it pro bono. There are many talented people out there that crave a challenge, and I’ve seen marvelous things from graphic fixes to entire game engine rewrites done for nothing more but the love of the challenge.
I genuinely hope everything resolves itself for you and your team.
Agreed the comparison personnel wise may be slightly unfair (ignoring the fact that not all 25 are working on Helldivers but closer to a third of that), but their approach I think is fair.
They approached their playerbase and offered words of support where, generally speaking, there is an atmosphere of uncertainty surrounding your game. When I Google for your game and the only hits I generally find are the suppositions of the playerbase, I ponder how much irrevocable damage that will do.
If I may be so bold, it may be worth Googling yourself and saying what you’ve said to me – I’d hate for the game to fade into obscurity, especially when based upon incorrect information.
Dave Grohl cancelling a concert would also result in a refund of the ticket sale to the consumer.
3) I used the term omission deliberately, because the online component of the game was exactly that.
Once a feature enters a game, future installments of its franchise are expected to have it improved upon.
Towerfall had the position of being the first of its kind, and originally being produced for the Ouya. No expectations and all the way through its development touted as a couch co-op game. A nod to the old school.
The few times that you took part in pre-release promotion, not once was it mentioned that you had stripped online. Multiplayer was mentioned, but you were deliberately “selective” to force your fans to fill in the blank incorrectly.
A misrepresentation.
Further, it seems bizarre that so much time was spent developing a co-operative element at all when online wasn’t on the table.
If we’re referring to a six year development cycle and c.600 levels represent the multiplayer component of your c.2700 total levels, equates to a year of development time arguably wasted.
Again, I may be overstepping my mark, but PlayStation Plus has been known to dramatically improve a game’s profile.
Case in point; SARPBC and Rocket League. No one had heard of the obscure ancestor, but Rocket League became a sensation. They had their initial bulk licence purchase from Sony, and now they are releasing small DLC packages (with trophies) for a small price to continue to make money.
Not only that, but people are buying the game this month (according to NPD) and keeping it in the top 10 – because people are still talking about it and newcomers or those that missed it want in.
PlayStation Plus not only acts as a cash injection from Sony, but also as free advertising that it is on the front page of the store for a month.
A game like N++ is perfect, and share similarities to Rocket League in its “good on your own, awesome with others” design.
Thanks for the (major) update, Raigan (or was it Mare?). A couple of thoughts/questions:
1) Yes, I agree with your decision to remove the Co-op levels as a requirement for the platinum trophy, mainly because of the fact that the game has to be played by using the shareplay feature. Let me explain. All N++ players who intend to get that achievement are hardcore players. They must be, otherwise they won’t be able to complete the expert co-op levels. So you must find another expert player to play with you, but that player is probably going to want that trophy as well. But because the trophy will on pop on the host’s game, this means that the other player will have to host the game himself as well in order to get the trophy too. In other words, all co-op levels will probably be played twice in trophy boosting sessions. The game being as difficult as it, I think that the requirement for the trophy is indeed unreasonable. If the game had a traditional multiplayer feature (server) and the trophy could have popped for both players at once, that would have been a different story, but that’s not the case.
2) You mentioned that “all” levels had to be completed for the platinum. Does that include “Race” levels as well ? Or do you intend to remove them as well in the requirement ? However, you can play these levels solo, so it’s not that bad.
3) So the corrupt bug is being fixed and the platinum requirement as well. And you’re trying to figure out how to port the game to Steam, but financial woes are an issue. Can you give us an update on future DLC ? I read somewhere that you had a batch of new levels (1500?) that were already designed in the pipeline. I’m not a programmer, but I assume that adding levels to the game is less complicated than the patching the game. However, these levels have to be play-tested, so it’s time consuming on your end. So what’s the plan? I seem to recall that future DLC would be free for those who bought the game at its initial price, but considering the game is not selling well, I wouldn’t mind shelling out a few extra dollars to help you out.
I want more know! I want to heard how you maded N game
How you got idea of making this perfect game!
How maded Metanet Software corp.
P.s. Later i’ll show my fan ideas! I drawed year ago and forgot to share
@Sebastien: about DLC, we don’t know right now. You’re right, it’s relatively easy to add, however we still need to work on those levels a bit more. I doubt we would charge for them since that won’t likely generate much revenue (even if *everyone* who bought N++ buys the DLC), we would prefer to just release them as a gift to our fans.
We’re also having some problems since our programmer can’t work on N++ any more, which means we need to find a replacement… it’s a bit of a mess :/
Anyway, it will happen eventually, but it might not be for a while sadly — we still need to get the patch out!
@Toad M&R did tell us there would be no online multiplayer before launch. I remember one time in particular from December of last year. Scroll down to the comments section: :http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/12/04/the-ins-and-outs-and-ups-and-downs-and-lefts-and-rights-of-designing-n-levels/
I’m pretty sure there were other instances when it was brought up as well. So even though I agree that there should have been online multiplayer, M&R did not misrepresent anything.
I disagree that the sequel in a series has to have everything the previous game had. Bioshock 2 had a crappy multiplayer, so Irrational dropped it for Infinite and was better off. If the dev feels that some portion of their previous game was not at the level they wanted, they’re completely within their rights to remove it. It is their work after all. There should be no expectations for it to be the same, especially in this case when the devs were forthcoming about it.
@Josh You’ve proven Toad’s point – nowhere in the primary blog post does it volunteer the omission of online. Only when challenged by someone do they then reply. A coerced comment is not forthcoming.
Also drawing from that link, Metanet have shown that their obsession with Towerfall as a role model reared his head early in their development cycle. Not to mention their reliance on somebody else’s hard work (SharePlay) to compensate for their failings.
You’re quite right, developers can choose what to do with their game. And consumers can choose what to do with their money – as they evidently have because Metanet openly admit sales are lackluster.
That blog paints them as remarkably unfriendly also, almost confrontational to some comments that don’t align with their “logic”.
The apology piece that Metanet also post from Polygon is pathetic. What they’re basically advocating is “if it’s too hard, don’t bother trying”.
Imagine where gaming as a medium would be, if the first person who tried to create online gaming gave up because it was too hard.
Multiplayer in BioShock is not the same as N++. N++ is built as a competitive experience, i.e. leader-boards from the get go – and it is acknowledged that multiplayer has a position because they offered a component of it.
BioShock is a wholly singleplayer experience which tried to have multiplayer shoehorned in.
ok that’s enough, Candy Floss, you disagree with our decision, and that’s fine. But characterizing us as misleading or coerced or obsessed is over the line. Our writing on this blog has always been open, honest and transparent. That does not mean we have to bend over backwards to appease people who simply do not understand what they’re talking about.
We’ve been up front a lot about the fact that N+ multiplayer was not to our liking. This is because the nature of the game does not mesh well with lag at all (even some TVs have too much lag!). Also, please note that multiplayer was not part of the initial N experience — this series is first and foremost Single-player oriented.
We did not have the funds or resources for both level-sharing and multiplayer, so we had a very difficult choice to make. It was one or the other — and we went with the one that was more popular and more useful to the most people overall. We’ve said many times we’re trying to make N++ the best version of the game, and decided to create the global, free level-sharing back-end since that’s what most fans and players told us they wanted.
We are a team of only two people. We have limited resources for hiring more, and either way, our job is to do the best we can with what we have, which is often very difficult and emotionally strenuous.
Online multiplayer is time-consuming to implement and even if we could hire the best engineer in the world, it will never work very well in N++ because of the nature of the game — there is no place to hide any lag, so your experience as a player is severely impacted. It’s frustrating, glitchy, jerky, inaccurate, and overall it’s no longer fun. Again, we get that you disagree with our actions, but we ask that you at least genuinely try to understand them — we are trying to make the best experience possible for players, and that means accepting some really difficult truths.
Not that we could have afforded it, but adding online would also have added another 8-12 months to our timeline, which we are sure people would not have appreciated given the amount of complaints we’d received about the length of development already.
To create something satisfying and interesting is an incredibly difficult thing to do, and whether you are happy with it or not, we are proud of what we have accomplished. It’s not perfect, it’s got some bugs and it’s missing a lot of features we are still hoping to add via DLC and updates, but at its core, N++ is awesome, and that is important.
I’m not the only one that disagrees with your decision.
Your writing on this blog has been open and honest, I’m talking about pre-release. You have decorticated your fanbase as much as you could, then decided to open up about your failings after the fact.
It’s lucky this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-34403005
wasn’t in effect prior to your game’s release. I wonder if the timing is more than coincidental but more providential.
N was also a flash game – but you’ve stepped away from that because you recognised that there was an evolutionary step to take with the game. Pray tell, what is the evolutionary step with this game? It just seems to be an expansion pack to me, nothing that would have not been achievable by adding DLC to N+.
I wonder what was going on with you in the development. Here’s an idea – open your level editor onto the web for free, offer a competition for the best level, say £50k, then use all the good levels as the foundation for a new game.
Your development time would have been compounded to next to nothing and your programmer that took 6 years to do nothing and to milk you would have been left spinning in his chair.
That programmer has taken you for a dog’s dinner whilst he’s doing entry level coding.
Have you seen Mario Maker and what the audience has produced for that game? “Build it, and they shall come”.
Maybe if you approached content creation with a bit less of an archaic development sensibility and actually made your programmer do some work you might have got more sales than none.
We don’t blame you, but we know you’ve been conned. I pity you. Especially now that he’s done a runner with all the money and you’re left picking up the pieces.
Have you heard of GGPO? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GGPO fighting games are crippled more by lag, but they managed to find a solution. Instead of paying Shaun ludicrous sums of money to twiddle his thumbs, you should have pursued a licence to this and adopted my content creation idea.
I honestly think you should cut your losses, don’t bother patching and just pray that on the grand scale of time everything works out. Good luck with breaking even –
@M&R
You should be proud! From a gameplay standpoint (which is basically all that matters), what you have created is flawless. I certainly would have liked online multiplayer, but that does not detract from the game at all. I understand that you can’t put absolutely everything into a game with limited resources (and crappy network infrastructure). I just don’t understand people’s expectations sometimes. Unless you make a blog post about all of the things that are not in the game, you’re somehow deceiving people. I think the real issue with N++ is that not enough people have seen or understand the game. I truly hope that things change for you two. I’d like to see more of N++.
How to draw rockets tail ? I’m drawing very bad.
Hey, I have a question about the Enlightenment trophy. Does it also include completing all the “?” (secret) levels? Hopefully it doesn’t because it’s still gonna be HELL even if you lift the co-op requirements…
I hope you will manage to sort out the trophy and the save corruption bug despite internal development problems. Cheers.
@Rooky: currently you have to beat all of the levels in Solo, Co-op, and Race to get the platinum. After we patch it, it will be just Solo — we didn’t include all-gold or secret challenges in the platinum because we wanted them to be bonus challenges for experts rather than required. We think they’re more fun as things that you can do if you’re into it, instead of things you have to do… especially since some are so hard 🙂
@Josh: thank you. We’re trying to feel good about this, but it’s hard since currently everything is a bit of a shambles. I’m hopeful that we can pull it together in the end though.
@Candy Floss: I’m afraid you don’t really know what you’re talking about.
For example, we spent a month early trying GGPO as a test, but it was quite glitchy. As I suspect eg Q3A would be if it used GGPO — it’s not a general solution, it’s one that apparently works for fighting games, which are a very specific type of design.
As for an evolutionary step, well.. we improved every aspect of N+ better. (yes, except for online) Just like we did from N to N+.
In terms of new stuff: we added a lot of new — and, IMO quite novel and interesting — enemies/objects, we added a bespoke vector renderer so that it looked as smooth as it felt, we added a killer soundtrack (like the levels, impressive in both quantity *and* quality), we added dozens of different colour schemes.
I think a lot of people remember N+ with rose-tinted glasses, but if you try booting it up you’ll see that it looks quite dated and not as great as you remember it. Especially in terms of feel, aesthetics, UI, and level design, N++ is a significant improvement.
Finally: we’re really proud of what our community is making in N++. We know it’s not as big as Mario Maker, but: we’re not Nintendo, and the ninja isn’t a famous mascot like Mario — it doesn’t even have a name! We hope that we can grow the community so that even more people can enjoy the levels everyone is making, because some of them are absolutely fantastic.
More colors please ! Like this http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8YkagMwYZA0
@pootis: we’re definitely hoping to add some new colours in updates… not sure what they’ll be though 🙂
Yes! even more colours! 🙂
@M&R Dungeons and Dragons isn’t a fighting game? But I don’t care.
Are Legacy counted as part of the Platinum?
Thank you for your replies to my comments by the way
@Toad: yes, you have to beat every level in the game (except for secret levels). We’re going to change it so that it’s only every single-player level, because we realize not everyone has a friend who’s also really good at N++.
I have a friend who is really good at N++ but that’s an awful lot of time for a trophy. Do you have a very rough eta for when you will reduce the requirements for the achievement?
Thank you
It should be sometime in the next month, but we can’t say for sure because we’re still waiting to hear from Shawn.
We were convinced that our platinum was too hard, until we heard about Super Meat Boy’s.. now we think it’s maybe not hard enough 😉
Do we get a special mention if we get the platinum pre-patch?
Like a colour named after our PSN profile name?
@Toad: sadly, it turns out this is impossible… one of the co-op expert levels has a buggy spawn point which makes it impossible to beat :/
We have definitely considered adding special badges to peoples’ names in the leaderboards to reflect their achievements, it’s something that’s still on the list for possible future updates.
Which is the glitched level?
It’s C-X-00-3 “mystery box”
If we complete all single player levels in anticipation of the patch we will get the requirements upon start up – or would you suggest leaving an episode to ensure there is still a trigger to activate?
@Toad: you might need to re-beat an episode to trigger it, but it should still work even if everything is already beaten.
Hi you guys! I really want to commend you on this absolutely amazing game. I have a bit of a speedrunning background, and precision platformer is probably my favourite genre of game. I’ll admit, when I saw this game come out, I didn’t like the look of it. But I shelled out the $20 after reading some reviews and checking out the gameplay. I do not regret a cent. This game has a fantastically focused and fun atmosphere, and its the perfect amount of frustrating. Enough content so that even casual players will get at least 100 levels of fun out of it, and I myself have gotten 1300+ levels of enjoyment.
I agree that most (if not all) of your detractors simply don’t understand that you are 2 people. Personally when I found this fact out, my jaw hit the floor. They seem to have this armchair programmer mindset, with a warped sense of the actual process. Not saying I’m an expert, but I tend to reserve judgment and keep my mouth shut when talking to actual experts haha. You guys are truly incredible, and it boggles my mind that just two driven folks could create such a masterpiece. This is coming someone without even the possibility of nostalgia goggles, as I had never played N or N+ before this.
As a trophy hunter, GODDAMN that last trophy is demanding! But again, similar to your entire game, it’s the right mix between skill and grind. As much as some of these levels drove me up the wall, I never wanted to stop playing them.
I guess this turned kind of ramble-y. I’ve read through this whole blog and I hate how you guys have to take flak from the uninformed. So I just wanted to let you know that there are (plenty of) people out there who absolutely love your game, and think you guys totally nailed it. I promote this game word of mouth to everyone I meet, and its times like this i was a full time streamer with a big following, because I would play your game all the time to promote it. I stopped streaming a while ago, but I might start again just to try to give the game whatever exposure I can.
Thanks so much for all the time and effort you sunk into this game, it really shows and we love you for it. Shout outs from Canada!
– Spark City (FatherLegend on PSN)
@FatherLegend: thanks so much for your kind words! I’m really glad you decided to take the plunge and give N++ a try 😉
(About the last trophy, we’re releasing a patch soon which will make it a bit easier — you’ll only have to beat all the Solo levels, rather than Solo+Coop+Race. Still pretty hard though!)
Anyway, thank you for writing — positive feedback from people really keeps us going despite all the negativity 🙂
Sorry FatherLegend – but you have the temerity to call someone out and presume their experience and background.
I, a detractor, don’t care how many people are involved in a product. Not to mention, I shouldn’t be exposed to it. If a product is offered to me, it should damn well supply what I purchased it for. Whether 2000 or 2 people worked on it is completely irrelevant to me; the consumer.
I don’t care about bleeding hearts – I don’t buy something to then spend my free time sourcing what’s wrong it. It is insane to me that you would offer yourself as an apologist when you don’t have what you paid for and what was advertised.
Not going too deep into the rabbit whole – but a game with unachievable trophies is inexcusable. That is a fundamental failure of the product.
I’m very well versed in what it takes to make a game, so whilst you may be satisfied with a subpar product, I am not.
It is unfortunate that Sony are slack with their QA – in that this game was released with a core tenant of their platform being omitted
For the record, my issues with other things missing is at the developer’s discretion, as they have put and I have offered my feedback upon.
I’ve also complimented Mare, Regis, and the elusive Shaun on the core product that they have produced – but I’m at the same time not going to let that override anything else.
Good windscreen wipers on a car don’t excuse garbage tyres.
N++ release date: 07/28/2015
N++ still not patched: 11/25/2015
you might want to read this post — we have been grappling with some issues that should explain the delay: http://www.metanetsoftware.com/2015/moving-forward/
Sorry, Toad, but you can’t reply to a post claiming I called you out when I never even mentioned your name. I don’t usually read names of people who posted, it’s kind of irrelevant. And just as you are stating your opinion, I’m stating mine. I’ll touch on a few things, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
I don’t think they advertised something that isn’t currently in the game.
I don’t know what you paid for, but I got what I paid for.
Also, you say you complimented their core product but then equate “core” to “good windscreen wipers on a car”. Seems a bit iffy, logic-wise.
Lastly, we agree about the trophy thing, but I just extend my understanding a bit further. Company or not, consumer or not, product or not, business or not, these guys worked damn hard and I appreciate the human aspect of what they’ve done. Much like they have detractors who will take issue with every problem (large or small, and there are large ones, don’t get me wrong) I’m going to find large and small things (and there are large things here too) that are great, and give them credit where it’s due on them. I totally understand the need for (sometimes harsh) critical feedback, and I posted because while I felt that that end of the spectrum had been covered numerous times, the positive end was lacking a bit in clarity.
I wasn’t calling anyone out; I was simply saying that I think its shitty that they have to take flak from the uninformed. If you are as informed as you say you are, you shouldn’t have taken issue with my post.
At any rate, I apologize for the misunderstanding.
Please don’t update v1.03 if you have a perfect savedata with secret levels.
This v1.03 can earn Achieve Enlightenment trophy, but your savedata with secret levels will be disappeared.
I trapped.
Give my perfect savedata
My n++ solo 25 gold badges are disappeared, but Intro & Legacy gold badges stiill are good.
Of course, you can upadte to v1.03 without n++ solo any gold badge. And play to firstly get secret levels.
@sunruibt: there is a bug with the All-Gold badges, yes (and we feel terrible, we tested for exactly that, but there must be something more complex going on), but the secret challenge info is still intact — we should be able to infer your progress and restore All-Gold.
EDIT: a few other users are reporting they can’t see their secret levels anymore also.
Once again, we should be able to restore this pretty easily. Don’t worry, N++ fans, we’re on it!
N++ hasn’t the abilty of vibration and 3 zooms. N+ XBLA for xbox360 has the abilty of vibration.
PSP and NDS edition has no vibration is normal. Why the big console can’t this function?
xbox360 n+ press R Stick can change zoom.
Can you add those 2 functions that zoom and vibration on PS4?
Hope v1.04 has the abilty of vibration and 3 zooms.
How to save game for original PC?
Play the Award-Winning Game, N, Now!
I downloaded PC and Linux(use IE to play) edition but cannot find a way to save game,so I played levels wouldn’t be saved if the game closed.
If save game must be online,I will give up.

I am a big fan of n but I am stuck in older versions. My question is whether n++ is available for windows. If so where to get it?
Where to download n+ and n++
@Sagar: it’s not out yet, but we’re working on N++ for Steam — it will be ready later this year 🙂 More info here: http://www.metanetsoftware.com/2016/the-cat-is-out-of-the-bag
i have a reqst and im trying to work on the writing will you guys resles it on the 3ds its ok if you dont
i have a request can you guys make it for 3ds please
and yes i know theres a copy it was on accident
@ultrakirb: unfortunately N++ won’t be making it to 3DS; among other problems, the graphics are quite GPU-hungry (though they might not look it) and porting would be an extreme amount of work. Sorry! :/
